I love this, but i do have one issue with it. at 10:48 when he claims that most great learning happens in groups, this is sort of true, but also not. This is because of the difference between Introverts and Extroverts, extroverts may think of great ideas in groups, but the introverts think of great ideas when alone, and do not do well in groups. I am getting this all from another lecture called The Power Of Introverts.

Some teachers are lazy. Some students are lazy. But think of this: Right now, under No Child Left Behind, if 95% of tenth-graders pass the standardized math test this year, and 94% pass next year, they will be a failing school, not above average. Two or three years of 94's, and the government can come in, ignore unions, fire teachers and rearrange classes at will, etc. Meanwhile, a school that got a 55% pass one year, and a 56% pass the next, is a-okay. What's a teacher to do?

I bailed school when i was 15, now at 21 im studying physics, math and chemistry. Science is the best tool ever devised, for understanding how the world works. I just couldnt see that then.
